Support schemes
You may be eligible for government support with your energy bills via one of the below schemes:
- Energy Bills Support Scheme - automatic £400 non-repayable discount for eligible households
- Cold Weather Payment - a payment for those on certain benefits during low temperatures
- Winter Fuel Payment - a payment for those born on or before 25 September 1956
- Warm Home Discount Scheme - a discount on your energy bills for those on certain benefits
There are other support schemes also available:
- Green Homes Grant – funding to make energy improvements for your home
- Priority Services Register – get free support from energy suppliers and network operators
- Switch and Save – save money through a collective energy switching schemes
- Energy buying syndicate – save on heating costs with Warwickshire Rural Community Council
Households may be eligible for a one-off £150 non-repayable rebate. For eligibility and application, visit your District/Borough Council website:

- Rugby Borough Council - Council tax rebate scheme
- Stratford-on-Avon District Council - Energy rebate scheme

Other utilities including water, broadband and mobile
- Changing to a water meter from Citizens Advice
- Help paying your water bill from Severn Trent Water including the Big Difference Scheme, Bill Cap Scheme and Financial Hardship Fund
- Cheaper broadband and phone packages from Ofcom
